PUPPIES - Spayed and Neutered Border Collie Pups

I took in the mother as a rescue.  She was very thin and full term with 8 puppies.  I need to find homes for 7 of the puppies.  They will all be spayed or neutered before going to their new homes.  They will also have their first shots.  I am asking a donation to go to Fox Hollow Animal Project.

Woofy has blossomed in his former foster care.  He is still a little shy but you call see the confidence in his current photo.  He is eager for hugs and pets and to tag along and play.  He gets along well with other dogs, children and probably cats. He is such a handsome gentle boy.

Dobbie is a lovely, friendly, blocky, dock-tailed Doberman. She gets along with everyone and is eager to please and play.

DOZER   Shepherd cross    cream and silver  neutered male  apx 10 months old - 55 pounds  stray

Dozer is a handsome boy that acts like a big sweet puppy.  He loves attention, and playing with the older kids. He walks well on a leash and rides quietly in the car. He gets along well with other dogs, he is not a barker and seems to pay no mind to cats.

SIMBA: 2-yr-old N/M; German Shepherd/Husky mix (or possibly Belgian Malinois).

Simba has an exceptionally resilient spirit.  When he was about three months old he and many other husky mixes were rescued from cages packed into a bus travelling past Butte, MT on the interstate.  Because of the unsettling situation Simba was fearful, unsocialized, and became reliant upon his dad with whom he was kenneled in temporary quarters at "Camp Husky."  Once on his own Simba was afraid of his own shadow until he finally grew comfortable playing with other young, non-aggressive dogs.  He has now grown into a gorgeous big boy who still has a puppy-like curiosity about life.  Although tentative around strangers, he gradually warms up to people who show him kindness and leadership. 

Simba is back in foster for the second time because the family he lived with for over a year lost their place and could no longer keep their dogs.  He would do best in a home with another dog as a playmate who could match his energy level so he would get plenty of exercise and companionship.  His trust in people is definitely growing and, being food motivated, he is very responsive to clicker training.  Now he needs someone with a warm heart to make sure that the third time around is the charm.

BEAR: 11-month-old; N/M; Wire-haired Terrior/Black Lab; Current on vaccinations.

Bear's cute personality matches his appearance.  He has good house manners and there's very little shedding from his soft, wirey coat.  Bear's Terrior genes give him a rather stubborn streak, but he's a very smart guy who just needs some consistent guidance to keep him on the right track.  He responds quickly to positive, reward-based training.  He's good with kids and loves playing with other dogs, but should probably keep his distance from cats, ducks, rabbits and chickens.

DAISY  - Female Adult Spayed - Great Dane

This is a rescue dog that is now ready to go to her forever home.  She is still a little underweight but is gaining on a daily basis.  She will make some lucky person a wonderful companion.  She just wants to love and be loved.  She is about 2 to 3 years old, very quiet girl.  She doesn't have any bad habits and minds remarkably well.  She knows quite a few commands including speak.  Daisy will require a fenced yard, she is an INDOOR dog.  Danes don't have much hair.  I will be picky where she is placed, a vet reference WILL be required also there is a $150.00 rehoming fee.
She doesn't like other dogs, small dogs irk her, large dogs scare her.  She loves my Manx cats, sheep and horses.  She doesn't chase chickens.  I would prefer a country home for her with children which she adores.  She loves to travel and does super on a leash no pulling or problems.  She's been hiking and is really afraid of creeks or anything to do with water, not a swimmer, but she just stands like a statue when you give her a bath......go figure.

River:  Alaskan Husky, Neutered Male, 8 yrs old

River has been retired from a sled dog team, but that doesn't mean he's ready to spend the rest of his days curled up on a couch.  He's very responsive off-leash, so he's looking for an active owner who has time to take him hiking in the summertime and keep involved in winter sports as well.

Zack is a happy go lucky, mellow, two year old Border Collie that arrived into rescue neglected and unkempt.  He has a very nice disposition and is thriving on the notion that someone actually would care about him!

This sweet boy gets along great with other dogs, loves kids and doesn't seem to concerned about livestock.  He is not too interested in my house cats, but like any Border Collie seems interested in the chase if they decide to run.

His recall is quite good already and he has a strong desire to please.  He has taken to his crate nicely and is taking housebreaking 101, which will become easier since he was just recently neutered.  I think when he bonds to a family he will learn to "stick around".  He may have some containment issues, but I think he would learn to respect those boundaries with time.

Zack deserves a loving home with a family who considers him a member.  He is vaccinated, dewormed, neutered and ready for a new home and a new life!

Petey is about 5 years old – neutered British shorthair.

He stayed around our place for several months and was likely abandoned.  He was making life difficult for our female cat.  So early this Spring, we trapped him with help from volunteers from Fox Hollow Animal Project where he was neutered and given essential shots.  At first, Petey was untrustful of almost everyone, but he quickly became used to us and to his new surroundings.  He also was extremely thin and his eyes were badly infected.  He is currently a “new” cat with clear eyes, healthy coat and of good weight.   Petey squints when in strong sunlight and seeks out shady spots.  Previously, his eyes might have been infected for a while, causing him to be sensitive to strong light.

Petey enjoys the company of people after he gets to know them and totally enjoys having someone play with.  He holds new objects and toys in his front paws while sitting up on his hind legs; then inspects the object by turning it over and biting down carefully to see what it is made of.  He loves to chase string and sometimes will untie shoelaces.  He follows like a puppy during walks, yet stops occasionally to check out a scent or a bug.  He is not a lap cat, but enjoys being petted and loves being brushed.   Petey lives in a comfy outbuilding with carpet and finished walls.  He is not destructive and will use a litter box or go outside (whichever is handy).  I would love to bring him into our house, except I have an elderly female cat who will not accept another cat in her home.  I don’t have the heart to force the issue because she is old and requires a special diet.  When Petey comes to the house to sit on the porch with me, he goes to our back door and wants to go inside.  I feel he was formerly used to being in a house.  I also have a female cat, Hurricane Wilma, that had been abandoned and she lives in another very comfy outbuilding.  However, being a torti calico, she was “courted” by Petey before we trapped him and wants no part of him.  So I’m not sure how Petey is around other cats.

Quint is a 6-year-old neutered British silver tabby Manx with beautiful eyes and markings. He is intelligent, very affectionate and relaxed-he even eats slowly. While he often enjoys other cats and plays well with them, he is also intimidated by new cats coming into his home, or by changes in his environment, and will spray. I have found that spending plenty of time with him and having consistency in the home reduce the spraying. Quint is a wonderful companion and can bring a lot of joy to his owner.

Jovi - 1-1/2 years old  - spayed female Shar-pei /lab mix - 75 pounds

Jovi is a sizzling sweet, tail wagging happy for attention young dog. She is large boned, has course collar hair and a wrinkly forehead (which botox could correct). These are characteristics of the Shar-Pei.  The mix with possibly lab makes for a regular, loveable looking dog. She arrived in Rescue with a young puppy, and has since been spayed. She gets along well with other dogs and is looking forward to a kindly home to share. Let this gal smile for you!

JD - purebred neutered male adult Lab.

JD is a wonderful dog who gets along great with other dogs and with cats and kids. He is about 80 lbs. He was my ex's dog before we met and he left him with me. He is current on all of his shots including a three year rabies shot given this February. I hate to give him up but I am moving and have three other dogs and no one wants to rent to me. He loves to hike and is very loving. He will be approximately 5 this summer.

BOUNDER  9 months; spayed female; lab/pittie mix; current on all vaccinations

In the human world Bounder would probably be labeled 'special needs' due to being undersized for her age and somewhat developmentally disabled.  She and her litter mates were brought into a shelter at 8 weeks old.  From the very outset Bounder had to fend for herself amongst her larger siblings and became defensive of her personal space.  Although shelter staff worked hard to bring out her sweet nature and reassure her, the stress of long-term kennel life created trust issues and inconsistency in her behavior.  When Bounder arrived at her foster home a month ago her fear aggressive reactions were apparent.  Gradually she has started to relax and become a regular puppy.  She has made surprising strides, learning about life in her own slow way.  She sits for treats, walks along on leash, sleeps through the night without messing her crate and is becoming used to pottying outside.  This cutie loves human attention both in play and 'lap time,' and is confident around foster brothers and sisters twice her size.  She will flourish in a calm, structured home environment where she can continue to trust and be loved.

 Sweet and unassuming, I’m very social with other kitties.  I would make a good side-kick if you have a big neutered Tom who needs some company.  I have a sweet little meow, nothing like most Siamese.  However, my dark blue eyes do cross, which just makes me more precious.

Mr Magoo

This big boy was VERY cranky when he first came to our rescue.  Un-neutered and beat up, it seemed he'd lost a few fights.  With a little love and steady meals (and neutering!), he's turned into a wonderful lap kitty.  He's probably 6 or 7 years old, but he's playful and has very good litter box manners.  His two favorite things are food and a lap.

SPARKY - Female black & white cat, 11 years old, requires adoption as an only pet! No exceptions. Children ok, but not preferred. Sparky likes people, but is not used to children. She would do best with an older person. She would make an excellent lap kitty, and Sparky is quite petite, feminine, and clean.

Sparky was found 11 years ago by us in Las Vegas in an abandoned building. She was starving & dehydrated. She became the #5 cat in a house of 4 other rescued cats. We now have 23 rescued cats, and Sparky hates it. She no longer likes any cats and actually has a split personality if she is faced with having to be around other cats. She does not deserve this. We can no longer keep her in isolated rooms, and we have tried everything. Currently, Sparky lives all alone in an air conditioned travel trailer on our property. She is happy with the solitude, but we feel she deserves more attention and love. Please understand how difficult this decision to adopt Sparky out is for us. Because we truly love Sparky, we would be willing to let her be adopted to the right home, if we felt that home could give her a better quality of life.

Mazie May - Adult Spayed Female - Domestic Short Hair - Black/Grey Tabby Cat

I got Mazie May just after Thanksgiving 2007.  When I got her at the pound in Spokane, she was just 8 weeks old and had been raised by a family after her mom was hit by a car.   She is a little cat - she looks like a 9 month old, but she's an adult.  She does not like to sit on laps, and hates to be picked up, but she is so loving in other ways.  She fetches Q-tips and other assorted small household items.  If you are petting her and stop, she will paw at you to get your attention.  So cute.  We need her to find another home as she is terrorizing our roommates other two cats.  She has been spayed and micro-chipped.  Mazie May is currently an indoor cat.  She would do so well in a family with no other animals or maybe an older couple .

7/30/2009- Mazie is hanging out as a 'shop kitty' waiting for the right home.
