KNEEDY KITTY FOOD DRIVE TO FEED KITTIES IN RAVALLI COUNTY
-- KITTY KUPBOARD FOOD BANK --

Thanks to the generosity and caring of the community, Ravalli County's Kitty Kupboard is off to a grand start.

With the help and support of Montana Companion Animal Network, Feral Cat Rescue launched Ravalli County’s new “Kitty Kupboard” Food Bank that will help supply cat food for the folks who can’t afford to feed their household companions and those taking care of our community’s managed feral cat colonies.

Saturday, July 11th, 2009 was the first Kneedy Kitty Food Drive by Feral Cat Rescue. The following local businesses hosted volunteers manning tables to collect donations: In Darby: The People's market; In Hamilton: Quality Supply, Wild About Pets, Albertson’s, Kmart and Ravalli County Bank in Super One. In Corvallis: Corvallis Fresh Market. In Victor: The Victor Merc; and in Stevensville: Feed and Farm, Valley Drug & Variety and Ravalli County Bank in the Super One. Gary and Leos in Florence joined the effort on July 18th.

Let's not forget the wonderful volunteers, who through their commitment and caring, really made the event a huge success. In just 2 days, 1983 pounds of cat and kitten food was collected. The Kitty Kupboard also has a bank account balance of over $600. This will help to keep the community's needy kitties fed for the remainder of the year.
